About me

Hey there!

I’m Mario from Montreal,

A music lover, creator, audiophile with an interest for all things sound. This website is mainly to preserve an historical list of events of the unique visit of the Beatles in Montreal.

From as far as I can remember, (and that is starting to be quite far, I was born in the sixties) music always made a big impression on me. Not so much the emerging pop culture that was happening in that period, my parents weren’t music lovers, they didn’t hate it, but they were not interested. The television that was in its golden age, and also on all day at home was what made me learn to appreciate music in my childhood, and I couldn’t watch and hear enough of it. Especially the weekly television show, they all had a good catchy theme.  And I liked the feeling of excitement they were giving me, just to name a few: batman, mission impossible, man from uncle, Spider-Man, Star Trek.  The movie theme of that era which I discovered later were also extraordinary. So here I am near retirement and still getting goose bump when i here something I like.

Why this website?
Around 2010 I was interested in internet marketing, and I needed to buy old expired domains names. While I was looking at a list of available domain I stumble on this one beatlesmontreal.com. Being an unconditional fan of the Beatles and also a Montreal citizen, I was intrigued, so I searched the internet archives to see what the website looked like before it went down and decided it was worth preserving. What you see here is pretty much what it looked like before.  And I think it is fine like that, I like the historical feel to it.

I certainly don’t plan to fill it up with redundant news and links that are everywhere else.
But I might use it for links to midi files and chords sheets, my compositions. And maybe not, we’ll see.
